Inter are ready to sound out River Plate and the entourage of young player Julian Alvarez over the possibility of a move in the coming transfer window.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that a meeting with the player’s entourage is one of the main items on the agenda of Nerazzurri Assistant Sporting Director Dario Baccin during his upcoming trip to South America.

Alvarez has enjoyed very strong form in front of goal for River this season, finding the back of the net seventeen times in his first eighteen matches of the season in the Argentina top flight.

Given that the 21-year-old’s current deal with the Argentine giants is set to run out at the end of December 2022, the Nerazzurri are beginning to consider the possibility of a move for him soon should he become available.

Baccin will take the lay of the land in his first meeting with the striker’s representatives, and try to get a sense of whether a move for him will be feasible.
