Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini will miss the Serie A clash between the Giallorossi and Inter on Saturday.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the 25-year-old is set to miss the next few weeks through a thigh injury and won’t return until the new year.
Pellegrini had to leave the pitch early in the first half of the Giallorossi’s 1-0 win over Torino yesterday, after he went down holding his thigh.
Tests have revealed that the midfielder has suffered a thigh problem and that it will rule him out until some time early in 2022.
The Giallorossi host the Nerazzurri on Saturday in Serie A, and they will be without the influential midfielder who will be nowhere near ready to return to full fitness for the clash.
It remains to be seen how Roma will decide to set up to account for the absence of Pellegrini in the match against Inter.
