Inter defender Federico Dimarco is set to be given the start at left wing-back or on the left side of defense in the Nerazzurri’s Serie A clash with Cagliari this evening.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the 24-year-old will play in place of either Ivan Perisic or Alessandro Bastoni with Perisic the likelier of the two to drop to the bench.

Dimarco has shown the versatility that he developed on loan at Hellas Verona over the course of the season, playing both in the back three and at wing-back for Inter.

The defender has been used more in the back three in recent matches, but could still be trusted in the role out wide.

The Corriere predict that the 24-year-old will definitely play from the start against the Rossoblu, and also that Alexis Sanchez will start alongside Lautaro Martinez.

Their complete predicted starting eleven for the clash is as follows:

INTER (3-5-2): Handanovic; Skriniar, De Vrij, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Brozovic, Calhanoglu, Dimarco; Sanchez, Lautaro.
