Inter could reach both a hundred points collected and a hundred goals scored in Serie A in the calendar year of 2021 over their next two matches.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who highlight the significance that both records would hold for the club.

Inter managed an impressive 58 points in the 24 Serie A matches in 2021 under Antonio Conte as they stormed to the Scudetto, and this season they have picked up where they left of more or less.

Simone Inzaghi’s Nerazzurri side sit on forty points in the league, top of the table at the moment, and they will have the chance to reach 101 with a win over Salernitana on Friday.

The Serie A record for points in a calendar year belongs to Juventus, who managed 101 in 2018, and so Inter can match this with a win on Friday and can go clear at the top with even four points against Salernitana and Torino before Christmas.

Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri have found the back of the net 98 times in Serie A in 2021 already, with the 43 goals scored by Inzaghi’s team this campaign so far adding to the 45 under Conte.

Inter could exceed their own club record of a hundred goals in the calendar year of 1950 were they to score three goals between their next two matches.
