Inter are considering their options for a future without Ivan Perisic, and Eintrachr Frankfurt wing-back Filip Kostic and Athletico Paranaense left-back Abner are among their main targets to replace him.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri are ready to move for Kostic but also seriously considering Abner based on recent scouting.
Perisic’s current deal is set to expire at the end of June 2022, and with an agreement on a contract extension still looking far away the Nerazzurri have made a left-sided player to take his place a priority for next summer.
Kostic is a player who the club have been considering for some time, given that the 29-year-old would be able to slot right in for Perisic on the right.
The Serb’s current deal with Eintracht is set to run out at the end of June 2023, and Inter would be ready to offer the German team €10 million for him, in addition to offering the player a three-year contract worth €2.5 million net per season plus add-ons.
However, Kostic is not their only consideration, and the club have also been monitoring 21-year-old Brazilian Abner at Paranaense.
The Brazilian has been a consideration for some time given his form in Brazil, but the Nerazzurri have recently become more serious in their interest.
Abner is now one of the club’s major targets to take the place of Perisic in the squad should the Croat be on his way next summer.
