Inter have confirmed that they have provided documents to the Milan prosecutor’s office regarding financial statements concerning capital gains.

This according to a statement made on the club’s official site, where they deny any irregularities in their statements regarding capital gains, and state that no one at the club is currently under investigation.

The club confirms that investigators were present earlier today to collect financial documents related to capital gains in recent seasons.

However, they also state that no charges have been filed and that the documents were only collected as part of a preliminary investigation.

This follows a statement released by the Prosecutors Office in Milan as well as subsequent reports in Italian media which gives further details on the nature of the investigation.

It remains to be seen what will come of this investigation, but as the club emphasizes in the statement, so far there is no ongoing investigation related to any charges against Inter.

The statement reads:

“FC Internazionale Milano confirms that it has provided the required documentation relating to the sales of certain players during the 2017/2018 and 2018/2019 seasons.”

“The request was received from the Milan Public Prosecutor’s Office to verify the regularity of the accounting of the related capital gains.”

“The club’s financial statements are drawn up in compliance with the most rigorous accounting principles.”

“No employee at Inter is under investigation. No charge has been formally made. As stated in the statement from the Prosecutor, these are preliminary investigations.”
