Legendary former Inter goalkeeper Walter Zenga feels that the new “Cathedral” design that has been unveiled for the stadium that Inter and AC Milan are building is very impressive.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, the 61-year-old gave his thoughts on the new stadium design and praised its appearance and quality.

The Nerazzurri and the Rossoneri have taken a significant step towards the new stadium which they expect to be ready in a few years time.

The clubs announced yesterday that they have made their final decision for the design that will be used for the structure, confirming the expectation that they would go with the “Cathedral” design by US architectural design firm Populous.

Now it is possible to clearly foresee what the project will look like once it is completed, and Zenga is very pleased with what he has seen so far, feeling that the new stadium will benefit the clubs.

Of the design for the new stadium, Zenga stated that “It is beautiful, I hope that I will be able to see it.”
