Young Inter-owned midfielder Marco Pompetti has shone on loan with Pescara in Serie C over the first half of this season.

This is highlighted by Italian news outlet L’Interista, who report that the 21-year-old has been one of the standout players in the Italian third division so far in the campaign and could soon be in for a move to Serie B.

Pompetti went on loan to Pescara during the summer, having spent his youth career developing with the Abruzzese club.

The young midfielder had already been on loan in Serie C the previous campaign with Cavese, but this time around he looks to have found a fruitful destination to develop.

So far in the season the midfielder has made sixteen appearances, scoring two goals and setting up a further six for a Pescara team who are sixth in their group in Serie C.

A move up to Serie B could be on the cards for Pompetti based on his form this season, though he could also return to Inter to be evaluated when his loan spell is over.
