Legendary former Napoli, Parma, and Chelsea midfielder Gianfranco Zola belives that Inter are in virtually unstoppable form.

Speaking to Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica in an interview published in today’s print edition, Zola spoke of the Nerazzurri’s level of play so far this season and also praised Nicolo Barella for his development.

The Nerazzurri had to get past a few wobbles early on in the campaign, but in the past few weeks in particular they have looked at their best, dropping no points across their past seven matches in Serie A.

It looks increasingly as though Inter could once again be the team to beat in the Italian top flight, and like they could be very difficult to stop indeed.

Zola has been impressed by what he’s seen, and feels that Simone Inzaghi has done a very good job of quickly bringing the team back up to this level.

He stated that Inter are “A real juggernaut, with excellent players. Simone Inzaghi has done really well, it was never going to be easy to get back to the top at this pace without Lukaku and Hakimi.”

He added that “Nicolo Barella keeps proving himself” after a year in which the 24-year-old Nerazzurri midfielder won the Scudetto and the Euros.
