Ligue 1 side Reims have officially exercised their purchase option on defender Andrew Gravillon from Inter.

This was confirmed by Jean-Pierre Caillot in today’s print edition of French newspaper L’Union, who stated that the club are happy to have bought the 23-year-old on a permanent basis.

Gravillon joined Reims on loan over the summer, but part of the terms of the loan deal were that if the Guadoloupean defender were to make seventeen appearances for the club then a purchase obligation would come into effect.

The 23-year-old has been a regular fixture in the Reims team this season in Serie A, and one of their most-used players in Ligue 1.

As such, the purchase obligation was triggered by the end of the first half of the season, and the French club are happy to have signed the player on a deal worth €3.5 million to Inter, while Gravillon has found a new permanent club.
