Clubs from the Premier League are joining the race for Inter Matias Vecino in January, with Leicester City in particular interested in signing him.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Foxes are tracking the 30-year-old who could leave the Nerazzurri for England.

Vecino has found limited playing time this season, and could look for a change of scenery during the January transfer window, six months before his deal is set to expire at the end of June 2022.

Napoli had been among the clubs most closely pursuing the Uruguayan, but he is also particularly interested in a move away from Serie A.

A number of clubs abroad have already come forward with interest in the midfielder, but now a move to the Premier League looks to be a possibility as well, with Leicester leading the way among clubs who could sign Vecino.
