Inter will face competition for the signature of Everton left-back Lucas Digne during the January transfer window.
This according to UK broadcaster Sky Sports, who report that the Blues are interested in signing the 28-year-old in addition to the Nerazzurri.
Digne has emerged as a target for the Nerazzurri, who are looking for a left-sided player who can back up Ivan Perisic for the second half of the season.
The Frenchman looks to be on his way out from the Toffees after falling out with coach Rafa Benitez, and Inter are considering a move for him on loan if they can find an agreement with his current club.
However, they could have to go head-to-head with Chelsea for his signing, with the London club considering him a possible option for the rest of the season in the absence of left-back Ben Chilwell who is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines recovering from surgery.
