The only interest in Inter coming from investors currently comes from those wanting to buy current Suning out, and not from anyone seeking to invest in a minority stake.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that Suning have not been able to identify minority investors in their search thus far.

The current owners have been had US investment bank Goldman Sachs searching for potential investors in the club as they have searched for an influx of cash to help operations out.

Three US-based groups are interested in the Nerazzurri, in particularly one led by entrepreneur David E. Strauss, but all are only interested in acquiring the club outright and taking control.

Suning have held firm on their valuation of €1 billion to complete a sale of the club, however, especially in light of last season’s Scudetto win and recent progress made towards a new stadium.

At any rate, it will be at least a couple months of due diligence before any interested parties would be ready to close on a deal for the club, and so any possible sale would still be some time away.
