There is no chance of Romelu Lukaku returning to Inter on loan for the second half of the season from his current club Chelsea.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the club would not consider a shock move for the Belgian for a number of reasons.

Lukaku gave a candid recent interview with Sky Sport Italia in which he admitted that he regretted leaving Inter over the summer to join Chelsea, and also expressed a desire to play for the Nerazzurri and win trophies with club before he retires.

This has led to some speculation that the 28-year-old could well be seeking a prompt move back to the Nerazzurri, even on loan.

However, the Nerazzurri have no intention of paying the net €6 million in wages that Lukaku has on his contract for the remainder of the season, while the club would also be very apprehensive about disrupting the balance in the dressing room with his return.
