Inter striker Edin Dzeko has tested negative for COVID-19, and has been able to return to training.

This according to Italian news outlet Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Bosnian is currently training individually but will be back in the squad in time for Sunday’s Serie A clash with Lazio.

Dzeko had been among three Inter players, along with Alex Cordaz and Martin Satriano, to test positive for the virus upon returning to training from their winter holidays.

The 35-year-old had been self-isolating in his home and waiting until he returned a test that he was no longer positive for COVID to re-join the squad.

Now, the striker is ready to continue training and should soon be back with the rest of the squad ahead of Sunday’s match.

Meanwhile, third-choice goalkeeper Cordaz and young striker Satriano continued to test positive in the most recent tests administered, and are still in self-isolation.
