Inter could miss out on the signing of Lazio defender Luiz Felipe on a free transfer, with Spanish club Real Betis currently looking the favourites to sign the Brazilian in June.

This according to today’s print edition of Seville-based newspaper Estadio Deportivo, who report that the La Liga side are pushing for the 24-year-old’s signature, and that they are in pole position to bring him in during the summer transfer window.

Felipe’s current deal with Lazio is set to expire at the end of June, and as of yet the player has not agreed on an extension with the Biancocelesti.

The defender worked successfully with Inter coach Simone Inzaghi for several seasons together in the Italian capital, and this has led to him emerging as a target to reinforce the backline should he be available on a free transfer.

However, it currently looks to be Betis who are the likeliest to move for the 24-year-old, according to Estadio Deportivo.
