Atalanta are not letting themselves get distracted by the difficulties around COVID-19 in Serie A, and are keeping focused on their head-to-head clash with Inter next weekend.
La Dei CEO Umberto Marino spoke to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, and affirmed that in spite of the atmosphere of uncertainty in Italian football, his team are concentrating on preparing for Sunday’s match.
Inter travel to face Atalanta on Sunday in a match that could have major Scudetto implications, and La Dei will be motivated to try and claw back three points to gain ground on the Nerazzurri.
Both sides have already had matches postponed due to the spread of COVID, and all of Serie A has been dealing with the effects of a spike in cases in Italy and around the globe.
However, Inter will be focused on getting the result they need from this huge match, and as Marino made clear, so will Atalanta.
“We must stay focused on all our matches, we play three matches this week,” he stated. “On Sunday we have a hugely important match against Inter, and we must give it our full concentration.”
