Inter look set to miss out on Everton left-back Lucas Digne, who is close to completing a move to Premier League side Aston Villa.
This according to UK broadcaster Sky Sports, who report that the Brimingham-based club are ready to sign the 28-year-old in a deal worth €20-25 million.
Digne is close to the exit door at Everton after falling out with Toffees head coach Rafa Benitez, and the Nerazzurri had been considering him as a possible January signing to back up Ivan Perisic at left wing-back.
Chelsea had also been interested in signing the Frenchman, who the Nerazzurri were only considering signing if he were to be available on a loan deal without a purchase obligation in it.
In the end, it looks as though Villa are the team who will win the chase for Digne’s signature as they are close to completing his signing from Everton on a permanent basis.
