Inter’s Supercoppa Italiana clash with Juventus on Wednesday is set to be played in front of over 38,000 spectators.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report on the number of tickets sold for the fixture at the San Siro.

Serie A is set to temporarily impose new restrictions on the number of fans allowed in stadiums for matches, with only a reduced capacity of five thousand fans to be allowed in stadiums across the next two rounds in order to curb the rapid spread of COVID amid a spike in cases.

Wednesday’s match between the Nerazzurri and the Bianconeri has already had the tickets sold for the match, with 50% capacity allowed under the current capacity.

The decision has been taken to allow the crowd to attend the match as planned, with over 38,000 spectators having bought tickets, and then to impose the new temporary restrictions.
