Inter and Atalanta have agreed on a deal for wing-back Robin Gosens worth €22 million plus add-ons.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the Nerazzurri and La Dea are ready to close on a deal to sign the German on an initial loan with a purchase obligation.

The Nerazzurri have moved fast to sign Gosens, who has been identified as the right profile to deputize for Ivan Perisic over the rest of the season and also succeed the Croat in the long term.

The 27-year-old will sign a five-year contract with Inter once the deal with Atalanta is over the line, which will initially see him join on loan before being bought on a permanent basis in the summer.

It remains to be seen what the Nerazzurri will do with Perisic’s situation with the 32-year-old’s current deal expiring at the end of June.

However, according to Sky the club are not feeling any pressure to renew with him unless he drops his salary demands now that they have a successor in place.
