Former Juventus defender Alessandro Birindelli has heaped praise upon Inter for the way they have played so far this season, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking during an interview with TMW, Alessandro Birindelli talked about the balance that the Inter team now has under Simone Inzaghi and their ability to win a game in a very short space of time of they decide to do so.

“They have found balance and conviction, there is self-esteem and a cohesive group, they all know what to do on the pitch and give the impression of being able to manage the matches well. If they take it into their heads to get the result, they do it with strength and vehemence even in ten to fifteen minutes.”

Inter was expected to be weaker this season as Antonio Conte left and was replaced by Simone Inzaghi, and Romelu Lukaku and Achraf Hakimi left for Chelsea and Paris Saint Germain respectively.

That has not turned out to be the case though and the Nerazzurri now sits four points clear at the top of the Serie A table with a game in hand over second placed Napoli.

They are also into the Champions League Round of 16 where they will be facing Liverpool.
