Inter have handled the initial signing and subsequent new contract of Argentine forward Lautaro Martinez perfectly, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter signed Lautaro Martinez for around €25 million from Racing Club and that is a fee that now would barely get you a backup striker from Europe.

The goals that he has scored between now and when he joined means that he has effectively worked off that price tag as his performances have been worth more than that.

Now in a climate where many top players are running down their contracts, Inter managed to get Lautaro Martinez to commit to a brand new deal so that he can remain with the club and keep scoring goals.

The contract also means that should a team be interested, they have the power to demand a very high transfer fee for his services.
