Edin Dzeko’s wife Amra Dzeko feels that her husband always felt that he’d be a strong addition to the Nerazzurri and that he could succeed with the club.

Speaking to Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, the 35-year-old’s wife explained that the striker always backed himself in an Inter shirt, and that he is happy in Milan.

Dzeko was quick to make the switch to Inter in the summer after having spent five seasons with Roma, and he brought his family along with him.

The Bosnian has already had a long and successful career, winning league titles in Germany and England with Wolfsburg and Manchester City before establishing a strong reputation for himself in Serie A with the Giallorossi.

However, he never won the Scudetto in the Italian capital, and decided to accept the Nerazzurri’s offer in the summer, with his wife confirming that he was always confident that he could do it.

“He was excited for the move, but he is a professional,” she said. “He always believed he could do well, and so it has gone.”

She also added that “He only focuses on being a footballer and he enjoys every minute of it, from training to matches. He’s very happy here.”
