Italian agent Gicondo Martorelli feels that wing-back Robin Gosens will fit right in at Inter after completing his move from Atalanta last week.
Speaking to Italian news outlet OkCalciomercato, Marotrelli highlighted the suitability of the German for this Nerazzurri side and predicted that he will make his mark at the Giuseppe Meazza.
Gosens had been targeted by Inter as well as a number of other clubs based on his form with Atalanta, but it was far from clear that they would be able to complete a deal for him.
However, the Nerazzurri managed to secure the 27-year-old’s signature on an initial loan move which will then become a permanent deal until 2026.
Martorelli thinks that it’s a very shrewd piece of business by Inter, and that the former Atalanta man has everything it takes to cement himself as an Inter player.
The agent characterized Gosens as “Excellent, a great signing, he is an extraordinary player. Inter have covered the left wing where they are at risk of losing Ivan Perisic if he does not renew his contract.”
He went on that “The Nerazzurri have moved with foresight by securing a player of great quality. He must regain his fitness because he’s coming back from a long injury, but this isn’t relevant to his qualities.”
“Gosens is a player worthy of Inter and will allow Simone Inzaghi to have real depth, as will Felipe Caicedo. He could prove to be useful during a very important part of the season.”
