Inter assistant coach Massimiliano Farris feels that he has learned a lot working with his friend and colleague, Nerazzurri head coach Simone Inzaghi.

Speaking to Italian news outlet Gazzettaregionale.it, Farris hailed the influence that Inzaghi has had on him both on a footballing level and in personal terms.

Farris has been working together with Inzaghi for eight years now, and the pair established not only a strong working relationship but also a great reputation for themselves with the project they built at Lazio.

Now, they are at Inter, and the two of them have already made significant inroads in imprinting their style of football on the Nerazzurri while also bringing significant success on the pitch.

Farris is hopeful that they can crown this with trophies very soon, and he’s happy to have done it with a man he greatly admires in Inzaghi.

“Meeting Simone has changed my life and my career,” he said, “we’ve completed each other, including beyond the pitch.”

“He has a great understanding of football and players,” he said of the Nerazzurri head coach.

On the secret to Inzaghi’s success, he said that “The only secret that comes to mind is the passion and strong desire to work hard, we have each put a lot of ourselves into the past few years.”

And on his ambitions for the season, Farris said that “Right now my professional dream is to successfully win the race to win the Serie A title, but doing so will be very hard.”

“Then we certainly have a wonderful test of our abilities ahead of us in the Champions League against Liverpool,” he added.
