Inter defender Aleksandar Kolarov has still been training with the rest of the squad despite reports that he is close to leaving the club and likely retiring from football.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the 36-year-old was at the club’s training ground today participating in a normal training session.

Kolarov has not managed to cement a place in the Nerazzurri team this season despite having extended his contract by a year last summer.

Persistent injuries have made it difficult for the Serb to find any kind of consistent form and he has barely played, and this has led to reports that he could be on his way.

Kolarov has reportedly been close to agreeing a termination of his Inter contract by mutual consent, and it has looked likelier that he would hang up his boots altogether than find a new club.

However, for the moment, the defender is training as per normal with the rest of the Nerazzurri squad.
