Inter’s transfer strategy is oriented towards a long-term plan for the future, as shown by their signing of Robin Gosens from Atalanta as well as their pursuit of Torino defender Bremer.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who highlight the vision for the future at work in the Nerazzurri’s approach to the transfer market.
Inter made two signings in the January window, one a loan of Gosens with a view to signing him on a permanent basis, and one a loan of Genoa striker Felipe Caicedo for the rest of the season.
Bringing in Caicedo is clearly meant to reinforce the team for the important matches to come over the rest of this campaign, but in the case of Gosens, the thinking clearly extends far beyond that.
Moreover, the club appear to be stepping up their pursuit of Brazilian defender Bremer, who has been one of the form players in his position in this season’s Serie A.
These moves, along with the widely-reported pursuit of young Sassuolo duo Gianluca Scamacca and Davide Frattesi can show a vision not just of the next season or two, but far beyond, emerging at the club.
