Italian agent Patrick Bastianelli believes that former Atalanta wing-back Robin Gosens is a player who can fit in very well at Inter.

Speaking to Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, the agent praised the Nerazzurri’s signing of the German based on his suitability for the wing-back role in coach Simone Inzaghi’s tactical formation.

Gosens arrived in the final week of the January transfer window, with the Nerazzurri having decided that he was worth investing in to shore up their left side for seasons to come.

The 27-year-old has already established a strong reputation for himself within Italian football with his performances for La Dea, and Inter will hope that he is capable of replicating that form at the Giuseppe Meazza.

A key factor determining how well Gosens does for Inter will be how he takes to his role within the system, and Bastianelli feels that he is a natural fit for how they play.

He called Gosens “A great signing by Inter, a player well-suited to Inzaghi’s tactical system, he’s a player who can achieve great things.”

And on the Scudetto race, he stated that “At the moment I see Inter a bit ahead of their rivals in terms of consistency of performances, compactness and concreteness, but it will still be an open and fun title race right until the end.”
