Torino midfielder Samuele Ricci has said that he looks up to Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic as they play in a similar position, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by FCInternews, the young midfielder was talking during a press conference ahead of his first match for Torino having just joined from Empoli.

He was asked about players that he looks up to in his position and he named Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic as someone he likes.

“I’ve never had a poster in my room, but I am inspired by many players who play my role. I really like Brozovic, even if my job has changed compared to Empoli: here we play with two midfielders.”

The Croatian midfielder is still in the midst of a contract negotiation with the club but he does seem destined to sign the new deal very soon.

The delay appears to have been around the bonuses that would take his salary to its highest possible point. He would like those targets to be easier to attain so that he definitely receives the full amount of salary that is possible.
