Inter could be in the midst of a worrying dip in form compared to what they were showing in November and December.

This is the suggestion of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, who highlight the a potentially worrying drop-off in some key statistics by the Nerazzurri since the return from the winter break in today’s print edition.

Prior to the winter break, the Nerazzurri had been a highly prolific attack, scoring more than two goals per game on average, while in their matches across all competitions since the return to action, they’ve managed to average just over a goal per game.

Meanwhile, the defensive side of the game has also dropped off, with the Nerazzurri going from keeping a clean sheet in all six of their matches prior to the winter break to keeping just one of the six since.

Especially with defeat in the derby against AC Milan on Saturday, the Nerazzurri will have to look at these trends and see fixing them to get back to their previous levels as a priority.
