Inter owners Suning have submitted documents to Italian football authorities confirming that they intend to continue on as owners of the Nerazzurri.
This according to Italian news outlet Calcio e Finanza, who report that the Nerazzurri provided proof that their ownership of the club remains financially viable as part of the documentation.
The supervisory commission that oversees the finances of all Italian football clubs, Covisoc, which is a part of the Italian FA, the FIGC, had asked Suning for clarification of their intentions with Inter in a letter this past December.
They specified that after reviewing the club’s 2021 financial statements handed in on June 30th, they wanted proof of compliance with FFP as well as evidence that the club can expect financial continuity under the current owners.
Calcio e Finanza report further that on December 27, 2021 the Nerazzurri submitted documents containing evidence of FFP compliance, shareholder support, risk-management strategies, and the general feasibility of continued business operations.
Additionally, CoViSoc had asked the Nerazzurri for documents pertaining to the investigation into capital gains of player transfers involving the club during the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons, specifically how the investigation could affect operations financially.
Once again, Calcio e Finanza report that the Nerazzurri submitted the requested documentation, on December 23 2021 which was one day after it was requested.
The documentation showed that the club are not currently implicated in any capital gains violation investigations which would risk affecting the financial performance under current ownership.
