Inter sporting CEO Beppe Marotta has said that he is more optimistic than ever about the renewal of Marcelo Brozovic’s contract, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media yesterday.

Speaking to Mediaset Infinity before last night’s Champions League clash with Liverpool, via FCInternews, Beppe Marotta explained that it can take time to organise a contract like Marcelo Brozovic’s but he is confident that it will get over the line soon.

“There is always optimism, this is a complicated contract. It takes time and calmness to tackle every detail with the right and proper attention. My optimism, compared to before, has even increased, we are not on the home straight but we are very well placed.”

It is expected that Beppe Marotta’s contract will be extended very soon along with Dario Baccin and Piero Ausilio. He says that everyone wants to continue the project that has been started at Inter.

“The entire management is happy to continue this positive experience at Inter with a very strong team, to achieve our footballing goals. The announcement is a formal act.”

Another player that the club would like to keep at the club is Ivan Perisic but he is out of contract at the end of the season. Beppe Marotta says that they will take the right approach and see if he would like to stay or not.

“With him we will have to take the right approach, let’s see. If he does want to stay, we will try to keep him because Perisic is an important part of the team.”
