The lack of a clear partnership between Inter strikers Edin Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez is becoming an issue for Simone Inzaghi, according to a report in the Italian print media today.
As has been highlighted by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the wonderful thriving partnership that Lautaro Martinez enjoyed with Romelu Lukaku at Inter has not been replicated with Edin Dzeko in the team this season.
Out of the two though, it is Edin Dzeko who has been the much more reliable and important player for Simone Inzaghi’s side this season. There is now a very real chance of Alexis Sanchez moving ahead of Lautaro Martinez in the pecking order at Inter.
It is a situation that Simone Inzaghi must manage very carefully as the club has just committed to a new contract for Lautaro Martinez so the coach must give him every chance possible to succeed at the club alongside Edin Dzeko.
