On-loan Inter Striker Martin Satriano: “I Have Grown A Lot At Inter, To Improve I Look At Lautaro Martinez’s Characteristics”

Stade Brest striker Martin Satriano who is on loan from Inter has said he looks at Lautaro Martinez’s characteristics to try and improve his own game, according to a report in the Uruguayan broadcast media.

Speaking whilst on Uruguayan radio station Sport890, via FCInternews, Martin Satriano explained how much he grew whilst in first team training and talked about the Inter players that he looks up to the most.

“I have grown a lot in training with the first team of Inter.  I’m at a high level, last year there was also Lukaku. However, in terms of characteristics, I look a lot at Lautaro Martinez. And I am very grateful to  Vecino, he treated me like a brother. He always gave me advice and helped me a lot.”

The young forward is currently on loan at French Ligue 1 side Stade Brest having joined in the January transfer window. He explained that he joined Stade Brest as he felt that the league could help his growth a lot.

“Before choosing my new destination, I talked to Inter and my agents. I liked the Brest project and we chose the French league because it could contribute a lot to my growth. I felt very comfortable playing from only as a striker and fortunately I managed to score two goals.”

He scored twice for Stade Brest last weekend and appears to have settled in very well. He was also recently called up to the Uruguayan national team which he says was an immense honour. He also discussed Edinson Cavani and Luis Suarez.

“It was an honour to be on that list. I know I’m just starting out and I have a lot to give. Coming to Europe as a child has helped me grow as a person and I have learned a lot working with the first team of Inter.

“Suarez and Cavani? They are two monsters, I would like to be able to play with both. I watch a lot of videos of Luis at Liverpool and Edi at PSG.”
