Simone Inzaghi may select Roberto Gagliardini to start the match against Sassuolo as Marcelo Brozovic will be suspended, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport today, Marcelo Brozovic will be unavailable for Sunday’s match against Sassuolo as he picked up a yellow card against Napoli that suspends him for one match.

Given Arturo Vidal played almost the whole Champions League game against Liverpool on Wednesday night which was very physically demanding, Simone Inzaghi is likely to choose Roberto Gagliardini from the first minute.

He will be flanked by the returning Nicolo Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu. Matias Vecino is still out injured so he is not in consideration.

There is a chance that Edin Dzeko will also be given a rest after playing many games in a row for Inter. That would mean Alexis Sanchez starting alongside Lautaro Martinez on Sunday.
