Inter have endured some of their worst form of the season since the start of January, and they have barely collected points at a midtable pace during the period.

This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who note the sharp decline in Inter’s pace in the league since the return from the winter break which they had gone into looking like Serie A’s dominant force.

Inter had gone into the winter break as the form team in Serie A, with seven wins in a row having seen them surge to the top of the table and begin to look like big favourites for the Scudetto.

On their return from the break, however, the Nerazzurri’s form in the league began to look more muted, following up a win against Lazio with a goalless draw away to Atalanta, and their February has been their worst month of the campaign by far.

In all four of the Nerazzurri’s matches in Serie A this month they have dropped points, scoring just two goals in the process, and taking just two points.

Inter have not been shy about expressing Scudetto ambitions, with CEO Beppe Marotta acknowledging that the team have the pressure of title favourites, but with nine points from seven points they are barely in midtable form during the calendar year so far.
