Italian agent Fabio Caravello feels that despite their poor recent form, Inter are still the strongest team in Serie A and the favourites for the title.
Speaking to Italian news outlet L’Interista, the agent gave the prediction that the Nerazzurri would win the Scudetto, and that their dip in form is something they will get past.
The Nerazzurri have been in the midst of their worst month of the season, and in Serie A they’ve failed to win any of their four matches, losing to AC Milan and Sassuolo and drawing with Napoli and Genoa.
This has left the Nerazzurri’s title challenge looking considerably weaker than it had at the beginning of the month, and the team needing to drastically pick up their form if they are to get back on track to defend last season’s title.
However, Caravello feels confident that the quality of the team and the players will see them through this tough moment and to the Scudetto.
“Inter are experiencing a moment pf decline both physically and psychologically among their most important players,” he said, “but if they manage to put this period behind them, not wilting under the pressure, I’m convinced that they still have the most competitive squad to win the title.”
“The decline in form of the most important players has been decisive for this decline of the Nerazzurri overall,” he added.
Caravello continued that “As I said, it’s more linked to a temporary condition of some players, yes. When you see Lautaro miss certain chances, you have to understand that it’s a temporary problem.”
“Despite the poor results, Inter are in full swing to win and going strong in all three competitions,” he went on. “If they manage to go into the run-in in good condition, they have everything they need to win.”
