Inter are lagging ten points behind the pace that they had set at this point in the season last campaign on their way to the Scudetto.

This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who note that the Nerazzurri have collected that number fewer points, albeit having also played one fewer match due to their game in hand.

Last season, Inter did not start off at their absolute strongest, but it was around the end of the fall that they really started to look at their consistent best to pick up the points that they needed to win the title week in and week out.

This time around, the Nerazzurri put a few early wobbles behind them to surge to the top of the table in November and December, but then started off the new year in some of their worst form of the campaign.

The result has been that the team find themselves ten points off of where they were at during this point last campaign, and leaving themselves with significantly more work to do during the run-in in Serie A.
