Inter January signing Robin Gosens is not far off from being able to play a full ninety minutes for the Nerazzurri.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the German is not yet at 100%, but that he is rapidly approaching that point.

Gosens made his return to the pitch with a cameo appearance late on against AC Milan in last week’s Coppa Italia semi-final first leg, whilst he had a longer substitute appearance against Salernitana, from which he bagged his first assist for Inter.

The German had been out for several months between his former club Atalanta and then Inter, but now it is only a matter of getting his fitness to the point where he can play a full ninety minutes.

Gosens is also one of only two Inter players to have won at Anfield against Liverpool (2-0 with Atalanta in the Champions League), the other being Matteo Darmian who managed it while he was a Manchester United player.

The German could play a role against the Reds in tomorrow’s massive Champions League round of sixteen second leg, and his record could be a positive omen.
