Alexis Sanchez looks to be the favourite to start in attack alongside Lautaro Martinez for Inter in this evening’s Champions League round of sixteen second leg against Liverpool.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who include the 33-year-old in their predicted starting eleven ahead of Edin Dzeko.

Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi will have decisions to make all over the pitch as he aims to put out a team which can exploit whichever weaknesses are to be found in a highly formidable Liverpool side.

According to the Corriere, the coach is considering turning to Sanchez as he believes that the Chilean’s movement can unsettle the Reds’ defensive structure and drag a centre-back out of position after the Reds’ defenders were dominant in the first leg.

Martinez, meanwhile, looks to be the player who the Nerazzurri will turn to in attack as their main man, with the Argentine having announced his return to form with a hat-trick against Salernitana on Friday.
