Inter have begun planning for next season and have identified Empoli’s Kristjan Asllani as a potential target to bolster their midfield options.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, the Nerazzurri have been paired with the Albania U21 international after his impressive form for the Tuscan club, particularly following the departure of Samuele Ricci to Torino in January.

It is believed that whilst Inter have been keeping a close watch on loanee Andrea Pinamonti’s development whilst spending the season at Empoli, Asllani has also caught their eye and could be in line for a move to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

Starting his career as an attacking midfielder, the 20-year-old has found joy in a deeper position recently and has showcased good vision and passing range, which could lead to Inter fighting off competition to secure his services.

Asllani has made 13 appearances in Serie A this season, helping the Azzurri avoid the threat of relegation in their first campaign back in the top flight since promotion.
