Inter look to be in a crisis of identity as much as a crisis of form, as their recent poor sequence of matches has seen the team unable to match the performances that they showed when they were at their best earlier in the season.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who suggest that the Nerazzurri’s style of play has regressed and they no longer look capable of imposing their preferred tempo and style of play on opponents.

During Inter’s run of form in November and December particularly, the team appeared to be a well-oiled machine, with the defense and the midfield giving adequate support to the strikers and pinning opponents back all over the pitch.

Now, the team have struggled to maintain a high tempo or a coherent high press, and they have laboured to create many decent chances.

The Nerazzurri have dropped points in each of their last seven matches apart from their 5-0 win over Salernitana, and they have looked like a team without a clear and incisive approach in doing so.
