Former AC Milan and Brazil defender Cafu has said that AC Milan’s chances of winning the Scudetto this season have risen a lot, according to a report in the Italian media.
Speaking during an interview with famous Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Brazilian legend explained that the recent good performances from AC Milan means their chances of winning the title have risen a lot.
“I have seen very good things, now they are delivering it: the possibility of winning the Scudetto has risen a lot.”
He admits that eight games is a lot in football and a lot can change in that time, but he gives them a 50% chance of securing the title from this current position.
“Eight games is a lot, but I’d say a good 50% chance. I’m optimistic because I see a concentrated team, which now has the advantage of not depending on anyone.”
AC Milan are in the best form out of the three teams at the top who have been battling it out all season long.
They are top of the table with Napoli sitting three points behind them. Inter are another three points further back but the Nerazzurri do have a game in hand.
