The new four-year contract that Marcelo Brozovic has signed at Inter will cost the Nerazzurri a total gross amount of €12.03 million per season.

This according to Italian football finance news outlet Calcio e Finanza, who outline the total amount the the deal with the 29-year-old until 2026 will weigh on the Nerazzurri’s budget.

Last week Inter confirmed the extension of Brozovic’s contract from the end of June until the end of June 2026, with the player set to earn a net of €6.5 million per season during the deal.

However, the gross amount that his contract will cost the club is higher, €12.03 million per season which will be fully amortized in the 2022-23 season.

Brozovic had been earning €3.5 million net per season on his current deal, costing Inter €6.475 million gross per season, to which €866,000was added this season to take the total amount owed for his contract to €7.34 million.

The total cost of Brozovic’s contract will accordingly grow by €4.7 million heading into next season’s budget.
