Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu knows that the team could potentially decide their Serie A title hopes with the result of their clash with Juventus on Sunday.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, the 28-year-old emphasized that a win is the only result that the team would feel is sufficient from the match, and that they feel that they are still very much in the Scudetto race.

Inter go into the weekend three points behind Napoli, six behind AC Milan, and just a point ahead of the Bianconeri, albeit having a game in hand on all three of their top four rivals.

The Nerazzurri’s Scudetto fate is not in their own hands going into the run-in, but they will feel that things are tight enough at the top that they cans till finish top of the pile if they show their best form.

They start off with their toughest remaining match, at least on paper, when they travel to face Juventus, and Calhanoglu knows how important a win would be in setting the tone for the rest of their season.

“We still have a game in hand,” he said, “and we know it will be tough because Milan are doing very well. They’re top and after them are Napoli, on Sunday we have a very important match for us.”

“For me it’s like a final,” the midfielder added, “it will be difficult but we have to do everything to get three points. “
