Inter feel that they are owed special treatment when it comes to a possible deal for Benfica’s Uruguayan forward Darwin Nunez, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.
As has been reported by Sport Mediaset in Italy, via FCInter1908, Inter are one of the teams being linked with the young striker who has caught the attention of almost every team in Europe this season.
It is known that Benfica would want at least €60 million for the striker that is viewed in Uruguay as the next Edinson Cavani.
That price tag is enough to rule Inter out of the equation but they feel there are two reasons why they are not out of the running yet.
Valentino Lazaro is on loan from Inter at Benfica right now and could be used as part of the deal. Inter also allowed Joao Mario to effectively join Benfica for free last summer after contract complications with Sporting Lisbon.
