Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi hopes that the team’s 1-0 win over Juventus at the Allianz Stadium can be a platform to go on and win the Scudetto.

Speaking to InterTV after the match, the coach gave his reaction to the vital result and his side’s gritty performance, and also was not shy about talking about their aim to push for the Serie A title in the run-in of the season.

The Nerazzurri are now just three points off of AC Milan and Napoli at the top of the table, also having a game in hand on the latter still.

They still have some ground to catch up, and they know that whoever ends up winning the title it will be a close and tense race that will likely go right down to the wire.

However, after having gotten their first win away to the Bianconeri in almost ten years, Inzaghi’s team will feel that they have every chance of going all the way over the final weeks of the campaign.

“The guys played a match with a lot of concentration,” Inzaghi said. “Winning here gives us great satisfaction because we knew how difficult it is to win at this Stadium, it’s eleven years since Inter had won here.”

“At the moment we’re chasing Milan and Napoli,” he added, “we know that there’s still a long way to go but we’ll do everything we can to do it.”
