Italian Media Brand Milan Skriniar & Simone Inzaghi “Symbols Of Victory” For Inter In 1-0 Win Over Juventus

Inter defender Milan Skriniar and coach Simone Inzaghi have earned the description of “symbols of victory” in the team’s massive 1-0 Serie A win over Juventus yesterday evening.
The pair were given the highest scores, 7/10, among the Nerazzurri players and staff in the player ratings for the match in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
Skriniar played a vital role in keeping Bianconeri striker Dusan Vlahovic from having an influence in attack, and the 27-year-old barely put a foot wrong as he imposed himself physically and led this team from the back.
Meanwhile, Inzaghi did not see his team get off to the best start as he appeared to have been out-thought by his Juventus counterpart Max Allegri during the first half of the match.
However, the Nerazzurri found their footing in the match and showed a gritty, very well-organized display to largely restrict the Bianconeri to pot-shots from range as they probed for an equalizer.
This was far from the most fluid or aesthetically pleasing Nerazzurri display, taking just five shots at goal, but the coach got the approach right in the end and also made some bold substitutions which paid off in the dying minutes when his team never looked like conceding.
Meanwhile, the Gazzetta named Edin Dzeko, at 5.5/10, and Lautaro Martinez, at 5/10, as the team’s worst performers on the night.
