AC Milan are serious about beating Inter to the signing of Sassuolo forward Gianluca Scamacca, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, Inter have been wooing the young striker for months but they cannot negotiate with the Neroverdi until they have raised some funds from outgoing players.

For that reason, AC Milan are looking to act fast and steal Gianluca Scamacca before Inter have the chance to sign him.

The Italian would replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the squad and it is likely that he would become the main striker immediately which is very attractive for him.

Sassuolo are currently asking for at least €40 million for the forward who has been in excellent form this season but all interested clubs think that fee can be negotiated.

Inter would need to rethink much of their summer plans if they do not get Gianluca Scamacca.
