Italian journalist Enzo Bucchioni has said Juventus cannot blame the referee for their defeat against Inter last weekend, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.
Speaking whilst on TMW Radio, via FCInter1908, Enzo Bucchioni heavily criticised the players at Juventus and suggested that they do not have what it takes to win a Serie A title.
“Juventus did not win because they had to be handed over to another coach. They do not have the players to win and play like that.
“Allegri is not a football teacher and this Juve needed a person from the current accepted style of football and not Allegri. If you fail to score it is not the fault of the referees or anything but his fault.”
Juventus were largely the better team during the game at the Allianz Stadium in Turin on Sunday night but they ended up losing the contest 1-0.
Inter were awarded a penalty towards the end of the first half and after a lot of drama and a retake, Hakan Calhanoglu scored the penalty and Inter managed to hold out and take all three points.
That win coupled with AC Milan’s draw at home to Bologna the following night means that Inter’s hopes of winning the Serie A title are in better shape than they were a week ago.
